The Lily bag is being released today and i’m very excited that i worked on this bag sewing pattern for the Mystery Bag Challenge over on Emkie Designs Blog.
Emma has done a wonderful job of coordinating and encouraging all of the creators to use the Mystery Bag Challenge list to choose at least 3 items to make an original bag or design a bag or make a current design even better with. The items i have chosen were a magnetic snap, piping cord and grommets.
This bag is so much fun to sew and turns out so cute! Check out my blog post all about the challenge, with an interview on Emkie designs.

The Lily Bag is an exciting, youthful fold over crossbody bag.
This bag has a few small features to make it stand out from other day bags.
The grommet attachments allows you to make the strap a feature or easily interchangeable.
The pocket piping gives a professional and the magnetic snap and zip pocket will ensure your essential items are safe.
The finished size of this bag is 8.5” x 9” with the flap down.
The Lily bag also features a zip pocket at the back and a large bag interior. This pattern is a quick sew and can be changed and added to easily to style for yourself.
Once again the testers have done an amazing job producing beautiful bags and ensuring this pattern is a great sewing project.
