5 things i made for kids

I love pinterest so much but for every 1000 things i pin i have probably made 1 thing i’ve pinned. I want to show you what i’ve made for my kids and their friends from things i’ve pinned to inspire you to pin and create instead of just pin and forget! My favourite go to girls skirt is so simple and from Danamadeit.  Check out The Pin What i love about this tutorial is she gives the maths, so it’s totally possible to work it out in all sizes! Which Fabric?

I adore fabric, it’s so nice to go into my local fabric store and look at the pretty fabrics and touch the different textures. As we all do, i start to wonder, what could i make this with that cotton?, maybe a lovely top from that rayon and a great dress with that sateen. Mostly it goes into the STASH! But how do you know what to use for what project? Before starting a project or pattern, Read the pattern carefully as they indicate what fabrics are best suited. Feel the fabric. think about the weight and use of the […]

Quick Window Covering – Tutorial

The neighbours house got knocked down and with it, all the lush plants and trees growing on the property which acted as the perfect screen between our laundry and their house. Including shoes and handbags. I do like to look good but rarely am i the best dressed in the room. I don’t own anything designer that wasn’t bought from an opshop. I consider myself somewhat frugal. I recently wore a handmade dress to a wedding and felt very comfortable. I don’t tend to spend a lot on clothes and still get some hand me downs from my […]
