Patterns I love – Grace Dress

I adore making little girl dresses and have found the Boo! Grace, the cutest dress for girls! I loved this design so much i bought it the day it came out a few months ago! I’ve made two dresses so far. I’m going to be starting two Frozen inspired graces this week.  This dress is a great everyday dress or a fantastic party dress.I love how it’s modest and modern. Quick blog.

Before i know it I’ve been sewing for 4 hours non stop. I’ve had elastic threading issues today, so i have invested in some elastic threading bodkins. I bought 3 different ones because you never know! One is a pinching type, it pinches the elastic or ribbon like tweasers and holds it while you thread. another looks like a giant needle with a ball on the end. It didn’t work with small elastic.. The last one was best and it looks like a threader and you sandwich the elastic in between. This one works the best for small elastic. i […]

I’ve found some great ideas to use up those left over fabric scraps. I want to show you some of the ways I’ve used them and link to the tutorials i have used and plan to use. Market Display ideas

I’ve been working on my market display for the last few weeks, picking up items from discount stores, vintage markets and DIYing a few bits too. I’ve made a headband holder and i think it will work nicely and I’m considering making one to hold kids belts. I also found this lovely recipe book holder which is going hold my earring board with all the button earrings i make. I still have to make the board.
