Summit Pack Sewing Pattern Review

Between Designing, working and mending (ergh) I have found the time to make a bag for a dear friend! Instead of doing a simple bag i had to choose (with my friends help) a back pack. This one lives up to it’s name summit! It’s not a hard sew really just such a climb to the finish line. The prep, and amount of pattern pieces…

It includes instructions for using a pre-made double pull zip or making your own! This […]

*this post contains affiliate links Ever since Emma from Emkie designs released the Panic clutch i have been waiting to try it out! i was just waiting to find the perfect vinyl. Purple Vinyl! I’m not that amazing at sewing vinyl and i did procrastinate for a few days over it. But i put my walking foot on and my leather needle and i failed  practised 2 flaps before i was satisfied with my final flap. Washi Top – Top 5 of 5! I did it!

Sewing 5 Tops

It’s done! It’s over and the pressure is off! I just finished! The washi top is my last top in this series. I’m sorry it’s not modelled on me but it’s a bit tight… Only a smidge! but i’m going to slim into it! Sewing the Washi Top by Made by Rae was really really enjoyable! The fabric didn’t slip while cutting or sewing and i felt really confident trying the shirring. And i think i did pretty well.   The instructions for this pattern are so good! I felt really confident and i’m so glad i left this pattern […]

Bess top – Top 1 of 5

I was so excited to sew this top as i have had it on my to sew list, I couldn’t wait to cut into the fabric! Good thing i picked up some more ink at the store after getting the fabric because i ran out as i was printing the pattern! Then sticking it all together. Yeah i may end up taking the other patterns to get printed out at office works! Because i’m already over it! I did buy way to much fabric! i could totally make another top out of the left overs. Maybe not a bess but […]

The Essential Nappy Wallet – A Review

I was asked my Lisa at Two Pretty Poppets to review the Essential Nappy Wallet. I was (and i’m always) a bit worried about how i would go with the binding… Me and binding were not friends. But this project changed our relationship for the better! Lisa provides two sets of instructions for binding, hand binding and machine binding. This project is a great one for a beginner binder. The only hand stitching (if you choose so) is at the very end to stitch up the ends of the binding. I don’t love hand stitching but it’s a 5 minute job.. You […]

The Flirty Bag – A Review

I am so happy to be writing about another great bag pattern. The Flirty bag by Ladybugs & Daisy Chains was such a fun and easy sew. It’s quite a unique shape with a cute pleats detail and i love it can really make the fabric stand out! I chose the What a Gem fabrics by Allison cole i had left over to create this and the design made the geometric coral fabric really pop and bring out the colours in the blue gem fabric. I also used the coral for the band lining piece so that it would stand out while using […]
